Skylight Circus Arts celebrate successful application to the local history of Sparrow Hill.

We are thrilled to announce an exciting new project for Skylight Circus. Sparrow Hill Heritage Project is made possible with National Lottery Heritage Funding!  Thanks to National Lottery players, we’ll be exploring the rich history of our local neighbourhood at Sparrow Hill!

A group of our young people and volunteers from Silver Circus, will take part in local history research of our very special home. We’ll also be making history with artist Kerith Ogden, creating a giant pop up book!  The book will will be used for story telling performances.

We’re excited to explore a treasure trove of local history and folklore, from Gamel The Thane to the stunning Edward Burne-Jones stained glass window in St Chad’s Church.  Approaching the 830th anniversary of St Chad’s Parish Church, this is great time to investigate the fascinating stories on our doorstep!

“We’re so excited to explore the history and mystery of our neighbourhood!”
